DocTable
Arabic PDF to Excel — scanned or digital, Arabic and English
Updated October 2026
DocTable converts an Arabic PDF — scanned, photographed or digital — into an Excel sheet with the table's rows and columns as printed, including bilingual Arabic/English documents and Arabic-Indic digits. On DocTable's synthetic test set the Arabic invoice was read 28 of 28 values exactly and the Arabic bank statement 43 of 55, where the misses were dates and digit groups returned in on-screen order. PDFs can be up to 500 pages, and each page uses 1 credit. Your first 3 pages are free — scan and download, no card needed. After that, $3 buys 20 pages (one-time, no subscription). Try your first page without an account — sign in only to download it.
| Description · الوصف | Qty | Unit price | Amount (SAR) |
|---|---|---|---|
| خدمات استشارية · Consulting | 10 | 120.00 | 1,200.00 |
| صيانة سنوية · Annual maintenance | 1 | 480.00 | 480.00 |
| تدريب · Training | 2 | 250.00 | 500.00 |
How it works
- Upload the Arabic PDF, scan or phone photo.
- The page is read as an image — no text layer needed — and the table rebuilt as rows and columns.
- Check dates and long numbers in the preview; rows whose totals do not add up are flagged.
- Download Excel, Word or CSV — included in your 3 free pages.
Scanned or digital, the same way
DocTable does not depend on a PDF's text layer: every page is read as an image, so a scan, a phone photo and a digital PDF all go through the same path, and the table comes back with its rows and columns as printed. A PDF can be up to 500 pages; long files are read in the background with a live page counter.
Arabic and English on one page
Bilingual invoices, statements and forms — Arabic labels with English names, or Latin product codes in an Arabic table — are read in one pass by the same pipeline as single-language documents. There is no language to select and no template to set up. Persian and mixed-script pages work the same way; see Arabic OCR for text and fields outside tables.
Dates and digit groups: what to check
Arabic-Indic digits are read as printed. The weak spot measured on DocTable's synthetic Arabic bank statement was order, not reading: dates came back as day-month-year where the page was written year-month-day, and account numbers printed right to left came back with their digit groups in on-screen order. Before importing, check the date column and any long reference number against the page. The Arabic invoice in the same test was read 28 of 28; method and misses are on OCR accuracy.
Saudi e-invoices: the ZATCA QR code
When a Saudi e-invoice carries a ZATCA QR code, DocTable decodes it and compares the total and VAT inside the code with the values read from the page. A mismatch is reported alongside the arithmetic check, which compares quantity × unit price, line items against the subtotal, and subtotal plus tax against the total.
Word, CSV or JSON instead
The same scan can be downloaded as Word, CSV or JSON instead of Excel. For a batch of Arabic invoices or monthly statements, files that hold the same kind of document are grouped into one Excel file. For more documents, see invoice to Excel.
Frequently asked questions
How do I convert an Arabic PDF to Excel?
Upload the PDF to DocTable and download the Excel file: the table's rows and columns come back as printed, Arabic text and Arabic-Indic digits included. Scanned and digital PDFs go through the same reading.
Can I convert an Arabic PDF to Excel online for free?
Yes, for your first 3 pages. Your first 3 pages are free — scan and download, no card needed. After that, $3 buys 20 pages (one-time, no subscription).
Does it work on scanned Arabic PDFs?
Yes. Every page is read as an image, so a scanned Arabic PDF with no text layer converts the same way as a digital one, and so does a phone photo.
Can it handle Arabic and English on the same page?
Yes. Bilingual Arabic/English documents are read in one pass by the same pipeline as single-language ones, with no language setting and no template.
Can I convert an Arabic PDF to Word?
Yes. Choose Word instead of Excel for the same file; for Arabic text and fields outside tables, see Arabic OCR.
Does it check Saudi ZATCA e-invoice QR codes?
Yes. When a Saudi e-invoice carries a ZATCA QR code, DocTable decodes it and compares its total and VAT with the values read from the page.
