DocTable

Credit card statement to Excel — PDF or scan to rows

Updated October 2026

DocTable turns a credit card statement — a PDF download, a scan or a phone photo — into an Excel sheet with one row per transaction: date, description, amount and any other column the statement prints. It has no card-issuer templates; it reads the columns on the page, so every issuer's statement goes through the same way. PDFs can be up to 500 pages, and each page uses 1 credit. Your first 3 pages are free — scan and download, no card needed. After that, $3 buys 20 pages (one-time, no subscription). Try your first page without an account — sign in only to download it.

How it works

  1. Upload the statement PDF, scan or photo.
  2. The AI reads every transaction row.
  3. Review the rows — 3 free pages, download included.
  4. Download Excel or CSV.

What gets extracted

Each transaction becomes one row with the columns the statement prints — usually date, description and amount, plus others such as a posting date or reference when they are there. Summary boxes and totals are read too, so you can compare them with the sum of the rows.

Scanned and photographed statements

A statement that arrives as a scan or a phone photo has no text layer; DocTable reads the pixels, so it goes through the same way as a PDF download. Heavy glare, blur or folds lower accuracy — check the numbers. For the method see scanned PDF to Excel.

Several months at once

You can upload up to 100 files in one batch, each PDF up to 500 pages. Files that hold the same kind of document are grouped into one Excel file, so twelve monthly statements can come back as one file; different documents get separate files. Batches need you to sign in. See multiple PDFs to Excel.

Checking totals

Where the statement prints totals or a running balance, DocTable checks that the rows add up, and flags rows that do not in the preview and in the Excel file.

CSV instead of Excel

A single statement can also be downloaded as CSV, JSON or text, and a merged batch as Excel, Word or CSV. Credit card statements are not offered as QuickBooks or Xero files; for a bank account use bank statement to QuickBooks.

Frequently asked questions

How do I convert a credit card statement PDF to Excel?

Upload the PDF to DocTable, check the extracted rows in the preview, and download the Excel file. Each transaction is one row.

Can I convert a credit card statement to Excel for free?

Your first 3 pages are free — scan and download, no card needed. After that, $3 buys 20 pages (one-time, no subscription). Try your first page without an account — sign in only to download it.

Does it work with Chase credit card statements?

Yes, the same way as any issuer. DocTable has no issuer-specific templates; it reads the columns printed on the page.

Can I export a credit card statement to CSV?

Yes. After the rows are extracted you can download a single statement as CSV, or a merged batch as Excel, Word or CSV.

Can I convert several months of statements at once?

Yes. Upload up to 100 files in one batch after signing in; statements of the same kind are grouped into one Excel file.

Is my statement stored?

No. The upload is held in memory, sent over an encrypted connection to a third-party AI model provider for extraction, and not kept afterwards; see Security.
