Word export is a first-class path in DocTable
DocTable is the same app whether you need a spreadsheet or a document. After OCR, letter-like pages (prose, contracts, forms with long paragraphs) are often better as Word (.docx) than as a grid of cells. Table-heavy pages still go to Excel or CSV. You choose the format on download; the engine can also prefer Word when the document shape is prose.
Image to Word, picture to Word, and JPG to Word all hit this path: upload a photo or scan, get an editable file — not an image pasted into a blank document.
What you get in the .docx
Editable text that you can correct in Microsoft Word, Google Docs, or LibreOffice. Structure is reconstructed from the vision model (paragraphs and fields), not from embedding the raw photo. Always proofread: OCR is strong on clear scans and weaker on blur or dense stamps.
How it fits the product
- Same sign-in and credit rules as every other DocTable scan (10 free scans, then 1 credit per scan; download free).
- Same temporary processing — no permanent document archive (security page).
- Same multilingual OCR model for Arabic, Persian, Chinese, English and mixed pages.
- If you need rows and columns instead, use image to Excel or image to CSV.
